Alden Shoe Company began manufacturing gentleman's footwear back in 1884 and today represents the finest in authentic American hand-craftsmanship. The second coming of the classic Roy Boot, the Rough Roy Boot is made on the Trubalance last and is cut and sewn using the rough side of Mill Dyed Earth Chamois leather processed by Chicago's Horween Leather Company, established in 1905. Chamois, aka oiled nu-buck, is generously oiled and easy to care for. The warm oily look and feel of chamois is enhanced with wear. Alden's plantation crepe sole has gained popularity for its comfort and appearance. The leather insole is made of flexible leather of pure vegetable tan. Unsurpassed for breathable comfort and long wear, it assumes over time the contours of your foot shape giving a truly custom quality to the fit.

Context Expert Tip: The Roy Boot is available in D and E widths. The Trubalance last fits about 1/2 size larger than regular U.S. size (e.g. U.S. size 10 = Trubalance Last size 9 1/2). While the boot will soften and take the shape of your foot with wear, we do not recommend buying these boots expecting stretch. If between sizes we recommend erring toward the larger size. The Context + Alden Roy Boot is durable, comfortable, and easy to care for. This is a life time boot. We encourage you to call or email us with questions about fit or boot specs.
